Bringing the Cinema to Your House How to Install a Home Theater SystemBringing the Cinema to Your House How to Install a Home Theater System
People love watching movies, but going to the cinema all the time can be such a hassle you have to line up and sit amongst a crowd of strangers. Luckily you can now be freed from such inconveniences by bringing the cinema to your very own home. This is done by having a home theater system installed in your house.
It may seem complicated, but installing a home theater system is actually easy. Here are the steps:
1. Plan how you want to set up your home theater. You should know where you will put the components of the home theater before you unpack the system and move your furniture.
2. Take note of where you will be plugging in the components of your home theater. It is best for the room to have its own circuit breaker so it won't affect the houses electrical system in case it overloads. You can supplement your outlets using power strips.
3. Position the television screen somewhere people can view it straightly. The screens center needs to be aligned with the viewers eyes for the best screening.
4. Position your speakers before attaching the wires. Take note where people who might have hearing problems will be seated so that you can place certain speakers directly toward that area.
5. Place the center speaker on top or under the television. Be sure to align the speakers front edge with the televisions front.
6. The right and left channel speakers should be placed at the same distance on the appropriate sides of the television. They should have the same height as the center speaker.
7. The surround speakers should be placed at the right and left of where you will be sitting. They should also be distanced equally. The speakers shouldn't face the viewing position directly.
8. The subwoofer should be placed to the rooms side. If you want the bass to be greater, you can move it towards the wall, if you want it to be softer, you can move it away from the wall.
9. Hook up the entire system using the appropriate cables. Check the user manual to be sure what wire goes to which plug.
10. Enjoy your home theater.
It isn't that difficult to install a home theater. With common sense you can follow instructions and in no time have your own home theater.
